Fernanda Brunet, Mexico City 1964
She studied at National School of plastic arts “La Esmeralda”. In 2011 she participated on the second edition of Mental Proyects Movies , in Cineteca Nacional at Mexico City.
Brunet designed the ilustrations for the Corazon del cielo , a film scrip wrote by Nicolas Pereda.
She has obteined the following Acknowledgments:
In 2000 Honorific mention at the X Rufino Tamayo’ s biennal , in 2002 honorific mention at the Yucatan’s first visual arts biennal and in 2003 she obteined tha acquisition award at the VI Monterrey’s bienal (FEMSA).
She has exposed in museums and galleries across Mexico and the United States her work has been in auction houses like Christie’s and Sotheby’s.

Estudió en la Escuela Nacional de Artes plásticas la Esmeralda. En el 2011 la artista participó en la Segunda Edición del Proyecto Mental movies, en la Cineteca Nacional de la ciudad de México. Brunet diseñó las ilustraciones para El Corazón del Cielo, un Guión de Nicolás Pereda.
Ha obtenido los siguientes reconocimientos:
2000 , mención Honorífica X Bienal Rufino Tamayo, en el 2002 mención Honorífica en la Primera Bienal de Artes Visuales de Yucatán y en el 2003 obtuvo el premio de adquisición en la VI Bienal de Monterrey (FEMSA).
Ha expuesto en Mexico y en Estados Unidos en Museos y Galerias, sus obras han estado en casas de Subasta como Christie´s y Sotheby´s.
In Brunet’s paintings the colors and the forms own vibration, using super fluid line that refers to japanese drawing , she creates almost abstract paintings where images camouflage themselves that brings us to mind diferent nature topics , comic strips and the femeninity. At the same time we can observe tha paint’s application over the canva in a motherly manner, a delicate treatment , amorous, intimate and instictive, noticing the connection of Fernanda’s personality with her work wich reflects and shows her soul.

En las pinturas de Fernanda Brunet los colores y las formas poseen vibración, usando una línea super fluída que remite al dibujo japonés crea pinturas casi abstractas donde se camuflajean imágenes que nos traen a la mente diferentes temas de la naturaleza, el comic y lo femenino. Al mismo tiempo podemos observar la aplicación de la pintura sobre el lienzo de una manera maternal ,de trato delicado , amoroso, íntimo e instintivo , notando así la conexión de la personalidad de Fernanda con su trabajo, el cual la refleja y nos muestra su alma.
